Proactive planning and advocacy will allow us to respond quickly and protect vital resources for our Band.

How will you maintain essential services for our people?I will prioritize basic needs such as housing, food security, healthcare, and education. By protecting and strengthening these core services, we ensure our Band members receive the support they need, even during financial uncertainty.

What improvements can you suggest for increasing casino revenue and exploring new revenue streams?We need a robust and targeted marketing plan to maximize the use of our new convention center and attract more guests. I also support exploring diversified revenue sources such as family entertainment—bowling, arcades, mini golf—and a child play center within the casino to serve families better.

How will you assess business ventures and expenditures like real estate purchases or vacant property use?All decisions will be guided by a strategic plan, focused on clear goals and rational analysis. I will ensure purchases and investments are backed by data, with strong justifications and a focus on long-term benefit versus risk.

What’s your stance on addressing the drug problem in our community?We need a community-driven approach. I encourage everyone to report drug activity— “See something, say something.” Additionally, I support installing cameras in high-traffic areas and increasing visibility of preventative and recovery-focused resources.

What are your thoughts on adding more family-friendly options to the casino?I support the addition of spaces for children and families, such as child play centers, bowling alleys, arcades, and mini golf. These attractions would not only serve our families but also generate revenue and attract more visitors.

What changes can we expect if you’re elected?Transparency and open communication will be top priorities. I will focus on expanding services for Elders and children, including exploring the creation of a Boys and Girls Club and conducting a full needs assessment of current youth and elder programs.

What do you plan to do to improve housing?We will prioritize the remodeling of boarded-up homes and create a transparent housing waitlist process, ensuring fairness and clarity in how housing decisions are made.

What three business ventures do you believe will help the Band financially?I believe in investing in: Cannabis ventures A dedicated space for arts and crafts entrepreneurs Local manufacturing opportunities These ventures can generate income and support Band-owned businesses.

Do you support the current constitution reform effort?Yes, I support the effort. I believe the Band should have the authority to determine our own membership, and this reform is an important step in that direction.

How will you provide more transparency around the Band’s finances?We need to present the overall budget visually and clearly distinguish between enterprise and program funds. Once that’s established, we can dive deeper into specifics for a more informed and involved community.

How will you make community input more valued on important issues?I plan to hold regular listening sessions, use electronic communication tools, and engage with Band members through media outreach. Community voice must guide leadership decisions.

Do you have the experience and people management skills for this role?Yes. I’ve worked for our community for over 21 years, managing both staff and students. My experience equips me with the leadership, accountability, and compassion needed for this role.
